A couple of things

Firstly, being in a busy, wonderful real-ale pub last night with a couple of friends, I saw something which reminded me why I love cats. The pub was pretty busy, a little hectic but with a good atmosphere. Meanwhile a black and white she-cat was sat looking out of the window onto the street outside, occasionally craning her neck having apparently spotted the most interesting thing ever: ears twitching like radar (does radar twitch? You know what I mean anyway), and paying no notice to the goings on in the pub. She seemed to be making a statement: fuck you lot, you bore me. It's all happening out there!

Secondly, today I finally got my hands on the new Einstürzende Neubauten album. I haven't listened to it yet, but I'm going to shortly.

At last. It's mine, mine!

Mine, I tell you! Mine!!!

Hope it lives up to your expectations after all this waiting hon.

Have you ever read Rudyard Kipling's, The Cat that Walked Alone, he had it spot on in his description of cat behaviour.

To translate is ALWAYS to trangress.

Just pity the cat just trying to ignore civilisation.

Prrrrugh with the cat can we?

Kipling and cats? Cat behaviour? That needs a translation.

Hemingway wrote about a cat during his hadley days.
This later translated into a Cuban love for Polydactyls pussy-footing about with a six pack.

cats heal?
Cats smell death a'coming.
Kipling indeed......

Evening all (well it's only afternoon still but feels weird what with changing the clocks. I saw a good online article in the Berliner Morgenpost asking what the point of it is, once I had done yet another dodgy translation).

I'm not doing individual replies on this as I haven't the concentration span, having been suffering with yet another accursed cold or bug of some description over the course of the weekend (I used to be so resilient to these things).

Anyway the album was definitely worth the wait: first time I listened I was a little nonplussed but I think I was listening too closely if that makes sense (I don't mean I was only 2ft from the speakers). I played it again after that, and again today, and it is most definitely a corker. There's one track I'm still not sure about but everything else is top notch.

And they're touring in the spring, apparently - not to be missed.

Regarding cats, no I haven't read Kipling or Hemingway (at all in fact, I'm afraid) but I'm aware of Kipling in this respect at least.

Thanks all for your comments!
