Trousers, you poor man, cold viruses are wee bastards (is it okay to swear?), the way they sneak up. Lemsip is disgusting but I do think it alleviates things. Vitamin C (make sure with bioflavanoids) is pretty good too, I've had it intravenously (for M.E symptoms) and it definitely did something good to my immune system (for all of a few days). Get well soon.

zola, definitely. Good advice any day of the week.

nmj, swearing is allowed at the press. This is one of those bastards which isn't so bad as to make me feel incapacitated, but annoying enough to make me feel A Bit Shit on an ongoing basis.

But Why? said...

Awwwwwwww. Have lots of sympathy from me. Feeling A Bit Shit on an ongoing basis sounds like no fun at all.

But xx

I reckon this is bad karma week. I hope you're starting to feel better. I always drink pots of green tea when I am down with cold. Which seems to help. Makes you wee a lot, though.

Thank you both, dj and ario. This morning was the worst, I got into work and wondered if I should have stayed at home. My attitude before I got stuck into my work was "can't don't want to, hate it" etc - it's amazing the effect a cold can have on your mood.

By the end of the day it felt like I've finally turned a corner, feeling physically much improved, and I managed to get a hell of a lot done at work too.

I'm sure everyone's best wishes and sympathy helped.
