Misreading the signs

Misread at the counter of a local pharmacy:

Effective relief for the symptoms of margarine.

Which is far better on every level than the one I misread in the dairy section of the supermarket a few days ago:

Manure Cheddar.

You'd think I might have developed a little more manurity than that by now.

I love your skill in misreading. it's obviously taken years to be as talented as you are in this.

I feel sure that I suffer from margarine symptoms, Trousers. Butter usually clears them up nicely.

Daughter and friends used to deliberately misread Costcutters. It was rude so can't possibly tell you what the misreading was.

Me too, Zhoen :)

Skill? Dunno about that, FB, it feels about as skilful as being left-handed..

Thanks for the tip, Signs. I'll stop using "I can't believe it's not butter"..

Oh and I think the BBC must have been listening to your daughter and friends, judging by today's output.

Thanks Leigh - and lovely to see you again (and to read the amazing post you've just put up on your blog).

As regards these misreadings, they're just the tip of the iceberg..
