99: Post of Ice

I really wasn't sure how to follow the previous post: I'm tickled by the amount of comments a pair of socks generated. Not that it was about the socks of course, but what they represent. Danger, decadence and other shit like that. Meanwhile I'm sat here listening to a so-far very fine compilation album on Planet Mu records. It's entitled "200", since it's the 200th release on that label.

So, following that kind of logic, this post is entitled "99."

Post of Ice?

I was walking home from work today, and those were the words I saw on a building that I passed by. It was a green building, inside I saw lots of stationery on sale... and I believe you can buy stamps and lottery tickets in there amongst other things.

The weather, general wear and tear, or (and I hope this to be the case) an act of creative vandalism must have done for the second "f."

Creative vandalism - found poetry. It's splendid. I love it when things like this happen and always read it as a sign, though I don't always know of what. Lost marbles, perhaps? Ah, post of ice. Life is magic.

Normally I read signs of whatever sort and find myself subconsciously changing the words (can't think of any examples, which is typical), so it was a slightly jarring experience to see this and take a moment to realise what it actually was. And yes, a lovely moment it was too :)

it could start a trend in building names, and you're the man who could spend time inventing them, and selling it as urban poetry!

Know exactly what you're talking about and I saw the sequel to that film.

'The Iceman Cometh'.

Now, sadly, gone, is one of the most inspiring pieces of graffiti I've ever seen.

On Królewska (the main drag and my direct route to the city centre) on the right-hand side as you leave Plac inwalidów for the suburbs, someone had rather gloriously sprayed Lubię rosół on the side of one of the houses. It was there for so long I believed that everyone treated it with the same respect and veneration that I did.

Sadly, a philistine appeared appeared in our midst and removed said graffito some time last year. I was shocked. And stunned.

What does it mean, you ask? It means "I like chicken noodle soup".

I always make my own chicken soup, but if I had to take the processed stuff I would always take Polish Winiary brand as being not too bad.

Just watching the Bowie documentary about 'A Lad Insane' and immediately thought about trousers.

It seems to me that our Trousers really must play more darts.
I do think that this is the solution.

Nice thought pixie, now there's a job I'd be happy doing..

I've heard of that but never seen it merk (don't tell me about it though since I might watch it) :)

szwag, that's wonderful! Reminds me of some graffiti I saw which consisted of fizzy pop, crisps and other such, erm, slogans. I love the fact that someone made the effort.

I'm intrigued as to how you've come up with such a suggestion zola. Plus, what exactly should I play darts more than? I think we should be told.

Don't worry dj, I don't exactly function well on a lack of sleep either :)

Glad you liked it wayf!
