Why I like cycling (2)

Because, for a few hours, it comprehensively deletes my capacity to give a damn.

For the record, and for the most part, I like to give a damn. But it's a luxury not to.

We all need a break from giving a damn, when - essentially - we do.

I can totally relate to what you are saying. Sometimes, giving a damn takes too much damn energy!! ;) xo

Hello :-)

Not really a cycling related comment (but I empathise with the not giving a damn bit) but more of a it was lovely to meet you last night & I'm sorry I didn't get to say bye before you dashed for your train!

Kate x

(word verification: mudown - the technical term for washing the mud off your bike!)

Yes, Zhoen and Sophia. Sometimes being able to step away from it makes you realise what you've been carrying (much of it being things carried from sheer habit rather than necessity too, I think).

Kate, yes lovely to meet you too! Wish I could have stayed a while longer (technically I could have done, there was a later train but - frustratingly - it wasn't on the timetable, as it turned out).
