First post about Neubauten in a while

This time next week I'll be in London watching Einstürzende Neubauten. I've booked the Thursday and Friday off so I have the added bonus of a long weekend. I've seen them twice before and both times they were excellent, the second time especially so.

Here's them doing one of their gentler, more melodic pieces (played, incidentally, mainly on plastic tubes) - it's a live performance and seems to have a couple of disjointed moments for some reason.

Can I start getting excited about it now, or should I wait for a bit?

Wait a bit, you don't want to shoot your load too soon (so to speak).
On the other hand.......... you could have another go next weekend.
So speaketh the High Priest of Anti-Deferred Gratification.

Yes. Get excited. Why miss out on any opportunity to be excited? What's the alternative? Being purposely unexcited? Why??

Er, thanks High Priest of Anti-Deferred Gratification - that leaves me in no doubt whatsoever :)

but, last time I was due to see them they had to cancel a few days beforehand, which is the main reason I might be purposely unexcited - I don't want to build myself up too much just in case...normally I don't really build up any real sense of anticipation about stuff - not purposely, it's just how I am: this is potentially one of those exceptions.

Brilliant idea zola!

Actually merk, zola's comment about burning the candle at both ends has a very different resonance for me at the moment, thanks to a rather violent stomach upset this weekend :(

B-byrd (for want of a better abbreviation), hello and welcome! I think you'll find I've been remarkably restrained, given that I bought the tickets about 5 months ago...

I know, dj, I know, I always aim to surprise :) Thanks, belatedly, for another "Wordless Wednesday" win - I've been terribly lax lately at responding to such things, but that doesn't mean it's gone unnoticed or indeed unappreciated.
