Light

Two posts in one day? Cor blimey, anyone would think I was starting to become prolific. But late this afternoon the light had a really unearthly quality to it. I don't think the photos I took do it full justice but here are some of them all the same.

Impressive photography - you have captured the moon too.

Thanks qv - but it's difficult to take any credit for the photography, since it was merely a case of recording things as they were (as far as a camera can).

What purple sky ?
Why haven't I got that colour on my screen?
Damn !
Lovely pics,purple or not....

Love the pics!

I'm not getting any purple, either. (Come to think of it, I haven't had any purple in ages - it's seriously under-represented in my life. I should do something about that. I know - I'll wear purple to work. The problem of "what do I wear today" has now been solved. Thanks, Bindi.)

Thanks j.j.

I presume bindi is referring to the second picture which does have some purple amidst the, er, haze? Anyway thank you too bindi, lav and but why? - and in terms of the latter, I'm glad this site has been able to act as a catalyst for the solving of such problems: public service blogging :)

the second pic on my macbook screen is a deep deep purple colour fading towards the horizon into pale gold and white! its all a bit eerie and gothic.

but why, I'm pleased to have had a part in inspiring your clothing choice on that particular morning. I hope the purple looked smashing. I'm sure people would have been dying to reach out and touch you that day.

Strange and unearthly, Trousers.

Certainly was, signs, I can remember walking out of the house just to go to the shop or something: I immediately walked back into the house to get my camera, so struck by the strangeness was I.
