Possibly the first of many such posts: possibly not. But I do seem to continually misread newspaper headlines, billboard ads, posters and any other such texts when I see them at a glance.
Today's, then, was
While the bus is in motion, passengers are requested not to stand forward of this sign, or otherwise wound the driver.

Perhaps my brain's a bit slow this morning; the correct interpretation was...?
Ah - it's not about interpretation as such - it is complete and utter misreading: so in this case the word wound was definitely not there but I had somehow read it as being there thanks to either something in my train of thought, or the way the words were arranged on the poster or whatever.
So the correct word was something like distract - but that last part was worded slightly differently thanks to me inadvertently jumbling up letters and words in my own mind before reading it properly.
Erm, if that makes any sense whatsoever?
was it "round" or "around" rather than wound.
Was the sign written by a company from the Nu-Labor-UK?
Wound seems common in the House of Lords where wound the wogged wock the waghead wassle won.
